Tears and Rain

Tears and rain they are one in the same,

Weary, Fighting this game called pain.

Blue eyes that burn, salt in these tears

You have brought to life all of my fears.

Eyes that have become red,

Weeping from your ugly words said.

Falling down rain from the sky,

I did not realize that God could cry.

Drowning the earth's ground.

Feeling this thunderous pound.

So much time has passed,

Aches of loneliness it just won't pass-

A sadness with too much weight,

Overburdened no more, my bridge is about to break.

Flooded my broken heart.

The current carries my body, that is broken a part.

Weathered its saturated and flowing down stream,

Leaving me in a ocean filled with suffering pain,

Or maybe it was filled by the loveless with guilt or shame.

Our tears that have fallen down like the rain,

After all, tears and rain, they are one in the same.
