Tears and Rain

Tears and rain they are one in the same,

Weary, Fighting this game called pain.

Blue eyes that burn, salt in these tears

You have brought to life all of my fears.

Eyes that have become red,

Weeping from your ugly words said.

Falling down rain from the sky,

I did not realize that God could cry.

Drowning the earth's ground.

Feeling this thunderous pound.

So much time has passed,

Aches of loneliness it just won't pass-

A sadness with too much weight,

Overburdened no more, my bridge is about to break.

Flooded my broken heart.

The current carries my body, that is broken a part.

Weathered its saturated and flowing down stream,

Leaving me in a ocean filled with suffering pain,

Or maybe it was filled by the loveless with guilt or shame.

Our tears that have fallen down like the rain,

After all, tears and rain, they are one in the same.

Bite & Chew

Bite & Chew

My heart bruised black and blue,
Loving a man I never knew.
Colored glasses, I wore,
Covering eyes of blue.
Protecting, ignoring things he would do,
Inside, in denial, knowing the truth.
Pretending what was real,
My soul he wanted to steal.
Swallow hard little girl,
Suffering painted my walls mural.
A price to pay to misery's call.
I lost myself when gave him my all.
Desperation, humiliation without glee,
Burning frustration buried within me.
Damaging scars left from him.
Self destruction tears me apart.
Killing me slow each piece he chewed,
Crazy, I am coming unglued..
Begging and pleading I felt so small,
Belittling your words loathing to all.
A shell, our home, that was filled with lies.
Breaking my heart a part of me has died.
